  10.       You may now save notes to a disk file for retrieval at any time.

  15.       printer paper,  cut around  the outline,  and glue  it on  a disk  or

  20.       Corrected a  problem  with  Wssindex  files  where  the  comment  was
  21.       truncated at 255 characters.

  23.       Updated the  CatDisk routines  to allow  for 43 character comments in
  24.       CatDisk version  6.30.   DLS will  no longer be able to read database
  25.       files produced by earlier versions.

  27.       Changed the  method of  configuring DLS.   There is one configuration
  28.       screen for  cosmetic parameters  and one configuration screen for the
  29.       remaining program  parameters.  The non-cosmetic configuration screen
  30.       can be  accessed when  in the  menu by  pressing the  <F2> key.   The
  31.       'Settings' window  has been  deleted and replaced by the non-cosmetic
  32.       configuration screen.

  34.       Because of  the removal  of the 'Settings' window, the 'Files' window
  35.       can now be made larger to accommodate more files being visible on the
  36.       screen.
  37.  
  38.       The program  is approximately  10k smaller  in size due mainly to the
  39.       changes in the method of configuring DLS.

  41.       The disk  jacket insert  for 5-1/4"  disks now  has a complete border
  42.       printed around it for ease of cutting it out.
  43.  
  44.       Fine tuned  the printing  of 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" labels to make easier to
  45.       align on a 3-1/2" diskette.

  47.       Added a new border type and removed a few color options from the Help
  48.       window.

  50. v2.20 - 1 May 1992
  51.  
  52.       DLS now  allows the user to toggle between 2 disk drives when reading
  53.       disks.   This option can be defeated by making both disk drive fields
  54.       the same.
  55.  
  56.       Support for  Avery 4240,  4-3/4" x  1-1/4", labels  has  been  added.
  57.       Because  of   this,  and  some  other  minor  changes  in  the  label
  58.       parameters, Label  configuration files that you may have created with
  59.       previous releases  are no longer compatible with the current version.
  60.       Once again,  you will  have to recreate any Label configuration files
  61.       for use with v2.20.
  62.  
  63.       Notes are now retained in memory until the "Remove" option is used or
  64.       all the  text is  removed during editing.  This also applies to disks
  65.       read from a database.

  67.       General program maintenance.  Several routines have been rewritten to
  68.       reduce code size and several minor bugs have been swatted!

  72.       Corrected an  error when  using  the  <Alt><T>  command  to  tag  all
  73.       database disks  for printing.  A bad quantity for the number of disks
  74.       tagged was  returned which  in turn caused the Multiple Entries print
  75.       command to self destruct.

  79.       DLS now  allows the  user to  toggle database  disks so that multiple
  80.       disks can be printed with little or no input by the user.
  81.  
  82.       DLS now  allows the user to toggle files so that they will be printed
  83.       or not printed on a label.
  84.  
  85.       DLS now  allows the  user to  determine how  the Title is determined.
  86.       The default  is to  prompt the user for a title after each disk read.
  87.       If the  alternate method  is used,  the Volume  Label is used for the
  88.       title and  the user  prompt is skipped.  You may still edit the title
  89.       using the Title Edit option in either case.
  90.  
  91.       The volume  label options have been expanded so that, if desired, DLS
  92.       does not  check at all for a volume label.  If this option is chosen,
  93.       DLS will use the Fake Volume Label.

  95.       DLS can  now be  configured  to  use  almost  any  character  as  the
  96.       separator character when labels are printed.
  97.  
  98.       You may now print 5-1/4" diskette sleeves.

  100.       Minor changes  to the  Help screens  have been made.  Most notable is
  101.       oversight on  what key to press, <F10>, when you are finished editing
  102.       a label type or printer type.
  103.  
  104.       Streamlined and enhanced the error routines.
  105.  
  106.       Rewrote and  revised the  disk and catalog Read routines.  The result
  107.       is much lower memory requirements with equal or improved speed during
  108.       these operations.

  110.       Shortened the  opening (slightly)  and closing  (a lot) advertisement
  111.       screens.

  115.       Added support  for some  disk catalog  programs.   DLS can  read  the
  116.       catalog databases produced by
  117.           - CatDisk
  118.           - LogiCat
  119.           - PmCat
  120.           - WSSIndex
  121.       and print disk labels from these files.
  122.  
  123.       DLS now  checks for  400K and  800K disks  formatted by FormatMaster.
  124.       Additional support  has been  added for  other special drive types by
  125.       allowing user entered data for 1 or 2 other drive types.

  127.       Added an option to allow the user to set the left printer margin.

  129.       DLS now  allows the user to determine whether a volume label is or is
  130.       not required  when a  disk is read.  An entry field has been added to
  131.       allow the  user to customize a fake label that will be printed on the
  132.       disk label when the volume label is optional.

  134.       The title can now be left justified or centered on the disk label.

  136.       DLS now allows the user some choice in the background character.
  137.  
  138.       The color  used to  display unavailable  options can  now be changed.
  139.       The menu  system has  also been  revised to  be more consistent as to
  140.       whether an option is available or not.

  142.       The help  system has  been totally  revised and  is much more context
  143.       sensitive than previous versions.

  145. v1.20 - 1 August 1990
  146.  
  147.       Some changes have been incorporated into this release of DLS that may
  148.       effect you  if you  have used various options from previous releases.
  149.       The most important are:
  150.  
  151.         - The  <Alt><D> command  has been  replaced by  <Alt><G> to "Get" a
  152.           directory listing.
  153.  
  154.         - Label configuration files that you may have created with previous
  155.           releases are  no longer compatible with the current version.  You
  156.           will have  to recreate any Label configuration files for use with
  157.           v1.20.
  158.  
  159.       Other changes to DLS v1.20:
  160.  
  161.         - The  format of  how files  are printed  on the  labels  has  been
  162.           changed slightly to accommodate the previously missed fact that a
  163.           directory name  can contain  12 characters  as does  a file name.
  164.           The result  is that less information can be printed on each label
  165.           for certain label width sizes.
  166.  
  167.         - Added  an option  to allow  you to  read virtually any disk drive
  168.           that contains a standard DOS directory format.  If you read large
  169.           capacity drives  such as  hard disks,  you should  print out  any
  170.           labels using  at least  a 3-1/2"  wide label since the line which
  171.           contains the  bytes used  and free information may print past the
  172.           label edge  on smaller  width labels.   In  addition, if you read
  173.           non-standard drive devices such as tape drives, Bernoulli drives,
  174.           etc., I cannot guarantee that the Volume Label routines will work
  175.           correctly.  BE FOREWARNED!
  176.  
  177.         - A  new option to print a directory listing only has been added to
  178.           the print  options.   This option  can be  selected  by  pressing
  179.           <Alt><D>.  Suggested by Brian Lodge.
  180.  
  181.         - Rewrote  and revised the NOTES editor.  The editor behaves like a
  182.           word processor  with continuous  wordwrap, similar  to  Microsoft
  183.           Word.   As a  result, many of the previous line edit options have
  184.           been deleted.
  185.  
  186.         - Combined  the border  option for  the  bar  and  1st  level  menu
  187.           windows.
  188.  
  189.         - Combined  the color  options for  the menu windows.  The bar menu
  190.           colors can  no longer be chosen separately from the 1st level and
  191.           Nth level menu window colors.
  192.  
  193.         - The  data windows  have been  moved somewhat  and the "Files" and
  194.           "Notes" windows are now opened only when they contain data.
  195.  
  196.       Finally, certain  sections of  the program  code have  been made more
  197.       efficient, other  minor cosmetic  changes have  been made,  and minor
  198.       corrections made.   The  overall result is the incorporation of a few
  199.       more options  that I  hope will  make the program more useful, and at
  200.       the same time reduce the size of the program.

  202. v1.11 - 4 March 1990
  203.  
  204.       - Fixed  the create  volume label routine once again.  This time, the
  205.         MS-DOS function  used to  create the label would truncate any label
  206.         greater then  8 characters  long at  8 characters  while DLS  would
  207.         think the complete label was created.  This is because I originally
  208.         used  one   of  Microsoft's   "preferred  MS-DOS   functions"  (now
  209.         abandoned) instead of an older function that does work.

  211. v1.10 - 26 February 1990
  212.  
  213.       - Corrected a minor bug that invoked an error routine when creating a
  214.         disk volume  label (whether  successful of not) thus forcing you to
  215.         read the disk again.
  216.  
  217.       - Revised  the double  heading label option so that the disk title is
  218.         printed in  condensed print  on the  label where  it folds over the
  219.         diskette thus allowing you to read the title on the front, back, or
  220.         top of the disk.  Suggested by Rick Fitzpatrick
